(A) We didn’t wander too far from the hotel today. Well, the girls and I didn’t. Kim and her mom did. They had to return the rental car, and then get back to the hotel. While they were gone, the girls and I wandered along the waterfront for a bit. Then we walked inland searching for a bookstore. We didn’t find it, but we did find a nice art supply store and a yarn shop. We paused in a small park and braced ourselves for the daily noon firing of the canon from the Citadel on the hill. The reassuring statue of Joseph Howe kept us safe.
Then we were hungry, so we went to an awesome Irish pub. We got a veggie burger, nachos, and beef barley soup. I can only speak for myself and say that the food was amazing! I didn’t hear the others complaining, though.
Now we’re biding our time until dinner time.
(A) Had dinner in the lounge. A complicated affair. Then an after-dinner swim… once the food was properly digested.
